Summary:
Are you passionate about driving impactful change in communities across the Pacific? We are seeking a dedicated Regional Coordinator to support our programs within the region. Working with an internationally recognised aid and development organisation, you will play a key role in coordination, stakeholder engagement and capacity building to enhance sustainable outcomes.

About Caritas Oceania
Caritas Oceania was established in 1995 and is a Region of Caritas Internationalis. It comprises of seven members: Caritas Aotearoa New Zealand, Caritas Australia, Caritas Archdiocese of Suva (Fiji), Caritas Papua New Guinea, Caritas Samoa, Caritas Tonga and the Episcopal Conference of the Pacific. They come together to work side by side on common issues, strengthen and support each other as well as to provide a regional voice to the international Caritas network for global action.

What does the role involve?
- Liaising and networking between Caritas Internationalis and Caritas Oceania Member Organisations.
- Administration of the Regional Secretariat.
- Develop and maintain appropriate administrative and financial systems.
- Collaboration with the Regional President and working groups to provide guidance and vision within the mission and mandate of Caritas Internationalis.
- Strengthen the governance and management within the member organisations of the region.
- Support the work of the Regional Conference and Commission.
Who are we looking for?
For this role, we are seeking a highly organised and dynamic individual, who is committed to making a difference in the world. The successful candidate will have a mix of the following qualifications, skills and experience:
- A relevant tertiary degree with experience working in the international aid and development sector, preferably within a faith-based organisation within the Pacific region.
- Experience in managing development and humanitarian programming is essential.
- Experience in disaster preparedness and disaster management is desirable.
- Active fundraising experience with excellent donor relations skills and understanding of the funding community.
- Demonstrated experience in networking and establishing relationships with individuals and organisations of influence, such as funders and partner agencies.
- Strong financial management skills, including budget preparation, analysis, decision making and reporting.
- A practicing and committed Catholic with a great understanding and commitment to the Catholic Church teachings and church structure.
- Primary language required for the role is English however working knowledge of other Pasifika language is desirable.
- Must be a resident of and be based within the Pacific Region (Solomon Islands, Papua New Guinea, Fiji, Samoa and Tonga).
