The Council for International Development promotes transparency, accountability, and best-practice, in the aid sector. We want to celebrate our members that have gone through a rigorous due diligence process, to become CID Code of Conduct Compliant.
The CID Code of Conduct is a voluntary, self-regulatory sector code of good practice that aims to improve international development outcomes and increase stakeholder trust by enhancing the transparency and accountability of signatory organisations. It serves both as a guide to good practice and as a risk management document.
Our Code Compliant member organisations must uphold:
- Lawful and transparent financial management
- Gender equality
- Environmental sustainability
- Respectful and inclusive partnerships
- Human rights
- Ethical standards and practise
E-learning course: CID Code of Conduct
Take the short e-learning course to find out more about how aid agencies and CID members are held accountable for good practice and transparency through the CID Code.
