Pacific nations push for stricter shipping emission rules at UN meeting

Pacific Island countries are preparing for a critical UN meeting in London, where they will push for stronger regulations on shipping emissions. As some of the nations most vulnerable to climate change, they argue that international shipping needs to drastically cut its carbon output to help limit global warming. This push comes amidst concerns that current measures fall short of what’s needed to meet the Paris Agreement targets.
