UN calls for accountability over nuclear legacy in Marshall Islands

At a recent address, the UN Deputy High Commissioner for Human Rights urged the international community to address the nuclear legacy in the Marshall Islands. Decades after nuclear testing, the country continues to face environmental contamination and health risks. The Commissioner called for increased support for the affected population and insisted that the nuclear powers responsible should take accountability for the lasting damage.
